Adi explains “I wish to use local Goan forms and materials in a contemporary manner and study extensively on that.Goa is abundant in flora and fauna. For example fish and rice is the staple food of Goa.The fish is a beautiful form signifying female fertility and abundance as well. Here socially relevant issues like maintaining the balance of breeding fish is important. When people eat the fish of the ocean they have to also avoid fishing during the breeding season as well as the size of the nets. When small nets are used even the tiny baby fish die prematurely before they have reached adulthood. So even a small consideration like using a large net is vital to allow the same fish which feed us to grow and enjoy a full lifespan. I try to bring awareness to local people that fish also being a life form needs to grow just like human children.”

Presently working as a freelance Visual Artist in Goa.
