"Living with the Gods is a trance journey through time and space, where the only actors are symbols and metaphors. The main protagonist of this story is Goa as a physical place and a metaphysical concept. In this experimental video C.G. Jung's archetypes, such as Persona, Animus, Anima, Shadow and Self, are applied to the visual manifestations of Goan collective imagery. It has a circular maze structure moving inwards from an external image of Golden Goa, passing through its Portuguese Christian legacy (Shadow), Hindu traditions amidst lush tropical nature (Anima), Konkani tribal deity Betal (Animus), towards its inner essence that conceals all these parts within, representing contemporary Goan ethos, or Self, through hypnotic visions of its mysterious figure, Abbe Faria.
